The TeachHero team sets up every new school for you. Request a free trial or book a demo, and we'll create your school and email you an invitation. Accept it, and you're signed in to your school's admin area with the basics already in place.
1. Request a free trial or book a demo
- Request a free trial — tell us about your school, and we'll set it up and send your invitation. Your trial includes every feature, Text Alerts too, and no credit card is needed to start.

Already have a TeachHero login? On your My Schools page, click Start a school, then Start a free trial or Book a demo.
2. Accept your invitation
When your school is ready, you'll get an email with the subject "You're invited to join the team at [your school name]".
- Click Join the team in the email.
- If you're new to TeachHero, create your login: check your First name and Last name, choose a Password, and click Sign up. If you already have a login, sign in instead.

3. You land in your school's admin area
Accepting the invitation makes you the school's owner, with the Admin and Teacher roles, and takes you to your admin Overview. The Get your school ready checklist there tracks your setup progress — see Your Dashboard for how it works.
What's already set up for you
- Your school's web address — a subdomain such as
yourschool.teachhero.com, used for your public website and family portal. - Levels matching your school type (for example, K-12 gets K through 12th). You can change these, and add age groups, anytime with Manage levels on any term, class, or program.
- A default New Student Application families can fill out.
- A default website theme, and starter class categories (Course, Lab, Field Trip, Child Care).
- Your school website, switched on and ready to build — you start with an empty pages list, so you only publish what you need.

When your trial ends
At the end of the trial, you choose a plan under Settings → Subscription. Until you do, the admin area opens only the Subscription page. Everything you've set up is saved. See Plans & Pricing.
