Create Your TeachHero Account

Updated September 28, 2026

A TeachHero account is one login (email + password) that works for every school you manage or teach at. You get it by accepting an invitation — from a school admin, or from the TeachHero team when we set up your new school. There's no separate sign-up page.

Note: Parents and students don't need this account. They sign in to your school's own portal with a one-time email code — no password.

Create your login from an invitation

  1. Open the invitation email — the subject reads "You're invited to join the team at [school name]" — and click Join the team.
  2. If you're new to TeachHero, you land on the Admin & Teacher Sign up page with your name and email pre-filled. Check your First name and Last name, and choose a Password.
  3. Complete the security check.
  4. Click Sign up.

Your account is created, the invitation is accepted, and you land in the school.

Already have a login? Clicking Join the team takes you to the sign-in page instead. Sign in, and the invitation is accepted automatically.

For invite codes and what happens after you join, see Joining a School.

Starting your own school

The TeachHero team sets up every new school. To start one, request a free trial or book a demo — we set up your school and email you an invitation. See Getting your school set up.

Your account vs your school profiles

Your account is your login. Your school profile is who you are at a particular school — and you have a separate one for each school you belong to:

  • Each profile has its own name, photo, contact email, and roles (Admin, Teacher, Parent/Guardian, or Student).
  • One login can belong to many schools, each with different roles — for example, admin at one school and teacher at another.
  • Keeping profiles separate means each school can use its own contact details for you, such as a school-issued email address.

To manage the login itself (email, password), open the user menu (your avatar, top right) inside any school and click Login & security. To edit your profile at a school, use that school's Personal profile page under Settings (admins) or My profile in the user menu (teachers).

After you sign in

Signing in takes you to My Schools — the list of every school connected to your account. Click a school to open it. From My Schools you can also:

  • Join an existing school — enter an invite code from a school admin. See Joining a School.
  • Start a school — opens a dialog with Start a free trial and Book a demo.
