- A student information system (SIS) is the software that holds your school's student records: who is enrolled, their families and contacts, their classes, and their attendance. Many also cover grades, enrollment, and a parent portal. It's your school's system of record.
- Is TeachHero a student information system?
- Yes — and more. TeachHero keeps student and family records, classes, attendance, forms, and files, and the same system runs enrollment, tuition, communication, and your school website. Because it's one database, there's nothing to sync between an SIS and a billing tool.
- How much does it cost?
- Starter is $19/month for up to 30 actively enrolled students, with student records, attendance, enrollment, billing, and the parent portal included. Standard is $39/month with 30 students included, then $1.50 per student, and adds teacher accounts and integrations. Inactive students, alumni, applicants, and prospects never count. Try every feature free, then pick the plan that fits.
- Can I move my records over from a spreadsheet?
- Yes. CSV importers bring in your students, families, and classes, and you can export your data anytime. On Standard, 1:1 onboarding helps you with the move.
- Can teachers take attendance and enter grades?
- Attendance is included on every plan. Teacher accounts come with Standard, so teachers can take attendance for their own classes. The gradebook and classwork are part of the LMS add-on ($0.50/student/month, $10 minimum) on Standard.
- How is student data protected?
