Parents & Students: Finding Your School's Portal

Updated July 20, 2026

If you're a parent or a student, you sign in on your school's own site — not on the TeachHero login page you may have just come from. That page is for school admins and teachers. This article explains where to go instead.

Your school has its own address

Every school on TeachHero gets its own web address, which looks like this:

https://yourschool.teachhero.com

yourschool is replaced by your school's own name. Your school picks this when they set up, so it won't be the same as anyone else's.

From any page on that site, use the Sign in menu in the top navigation and choose Parent portal or Student portal.

If you don't know your school's address

There's no directory to search — schools choose whether to publish their address, so TeachHero can't look it up for you. Try these, in order:

  1. Check your email. Any message your school sent through TeachHero — an invoice, an application update, a login code — links straight to their portal.
  2. Check your school's website. Many schools link the portal from their main site's navigation.
  3. Ask your school office. They can send you the link directly, and can confirm which email address they have on file for you.

Signing in as a parent

Parent sign-in is passwordless — there's nothing to create, remember, or reset:

  1. Enter the Email address your school has on file for you.
  2. TeachHero emails you a one-time 6-digit code. It expires after 30 minutes.
  3. Type it under Enter your login code.

If your school has text alerts turned on, you may also see the option to get your code by text message instead.

If your email isn't recognized, it usually means your school has a different address on file. Contact the office and ask them to check.

Signing in as a student

Students sign in with a Student ID and Student PIN rather than an email address. Your school issues both — ask a teacher or the school office if you don't have them.

What happens next

Once you're signed in, you'll land in your portal, where you can see the things your school has shared with you — which may include invoices and payments, forms, classes, messages, and events. What's available differs from school to school.
