Our Privacy Commitments
- No ads. No tracking. No selling data.
- Student data is never used for advertising or profiling.
- We only collect what’s needed to provide our educational services.
- We use privacy-focused analytics (Plausible) with no cookies and no personal identifiers.
- Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, hosted securely on U.S. and EU-based infrastructure.
FERPA Compliance
We act as a school official under FERPA, meaning:
- We only access student data under the direction of a school.
- We do not disclose student records without consent.
- Schools remain in control of their data at all times.
COPPA Compliance
TeachHero is not directed to children for direct sign-up.
We support schools in managing student access under COPPA by:
- Collecting only limited student data (e.g., name, class info) through educators.
- Relying on schools to obtain any required parental consent.
- Using this data solely to operate and improve the platform.
We Support Your Policies
- We offer Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) when required.
- Schools can request data access, correction, or deletion at any time.
- Student data is removed within 30 days of account deletion or upon request.
